Ant Killer

How to keep insects away from your home without hassle and damage to your health?

Ants can be a particular nuisance when they get into your home. Garden or Black ants aren’t thought to carry diseases, the trouble is you don’t know where they’ve been foraging outside, so you won’t want them marching through your food cupboards. Ants will travel in a wide range searching for food, following trails they have established and clustering around the source of food, becoming a nuisance in homes, organisations and businesses. Small piles of earth around holes in the soil and at the base of exterior walls indicate their origin.

Here are 5 steps to send ants packing:

  1. Don't feed them! Keep food off the bench tops. Food left out encourages them to come inside and get stuck into your left overs or any sticky sweet treats that may be lying around. Clear up any sticky residues on worktops, because ants are attracted to sweet things

  2. Don't let them in. Look for any cracks or crevices around the kitchen and seal these to prevent these pesky invaders having any easy access point. Spray all the gates insect can use to get into your home: door ways, windows, air ventilation covers etc. Ecomist Sniper is a residual spray for interior use. The dried spray acts as an invisible barrier to crawling insects and lasts for up to 3 months - it kills crawling insects when they come into contact with it. Sniper can also be used to spray directly on to insects for a fast knockdown effect.

  3. Establish an ongoing protection. Use an insect killer, that eliminates insects. And that means: flushes insects out of their hiding places, repels and kills them. The insect killer should provide the 24 hours protection and be safe to use arond people, food and pets. Ecomist developed the original automatic insect control concept that has been proven time and again in the most demanding environments. It eliminates flying and crawling insects in indoor and semi-enclosed outdoor areas. 24 hour protection without you needing to do a thing: just set and forget. The Ecomist Natural Insect Killer uses natural pyrethrins derived from the Chrysanthemum Daisy, sourced from Tasmania and East Africa and manufactured in New Zealand, so it's safe.

  4. Watch for the nests. If you have a large colony of ants in your garden or yard, consider ridding these nests through either DIY solutions or pest control services. If ants are settled inside your house - use Insect Granade (a single application product for fast and effective relief from insect invasions)
